When Hillary Clinton asserts that she’s been standing up aganst the “right wing machine” for 15 years, I have to stop and wonder what the hell she’s talking about. She’s straddled the fence long enough that it probably qualifies as a sex act by this point. She tries to be macho about security, perhaps to overcompensate for the fact that some will attack her simply for being female (to which I would say, if you’re not going to vote for Hillary, check out the multiple reasons not to vote for her in terms of her record, and generally malleable nature, her inability to admit when she has made a mistake, etc… and not focus on what is in effect superficial nonsense).
I am a bit disconcerted by the amount of pull the union interests have over the Democratic party. I am still making up my mind about unions as a whole, but they seem to have more pull than they should, much like the corportions have an absurd amount of pull over the Republicians. The debate or whatever that was on Tuesday was largely a race to see who could plant the most kisses on the asses of people affiliated with unions.
Check this out.
We already know Ted Nugent is insane, and the NRA are a bunch of lowlives, but take a gander at this.
The gay and lesbain forun is tomorrow, but I probably won’t actually get a chance to see it until I get back from Ohio.
I was going to post an evaluation of the Republician’s from Sunday’s debate, but it really wouldn’t be worthwhile. You could probably guess where I weigh in on them if you have read any of my other entries, and I don’t feel like bitching about how Tancredo manages to bring many issues back to immigration, how people vow to kill roe v. wade, or examine whether Mike Huckabee accidently proposed a health care plan which borders on socialized medicine (okay, I actually wouldn’t mind exploring that last point a bit more). Needless to say I am not a particularly huge fan of any of them, though Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee both bug me a little less than the rest do.
Good stuff here.
And here.
To end on a very strange note.
This might be my only post while I’m in Ohio. We’ll see.
