It’s early Thursday Morning

And I feel like doing something productive (other than the fact that I wrote a 4 page paper in an hour). I consider blogging to be such an act. Anyway…

This is interesting, though I’m not sure how a thinker got into the Bush White House (thinker being loosely defined as anyone who isn’t going to spout W’s inane bullshit verboten). I don’t know how much good it does at this point, but it is encouraging at any rate.

I’m a fan of Lincoln Chafee. It seemed sad to me that he was one of the republicians who got turned out in 2006, when you consider he was the only republican senator to vote against the resolution to go into Iraq (and has a fairly decent environmental record). Here is a little peice on him.

This is just fucking sad. I don’t understand how you can both “support the troops” and back legislation which doesn’t allow them a reasonable leave period to actually see their families and such. We treat our soliders like shit, and the people who do are somehow the same people who can get away with crying foul because there are some who don’t want our troops in harm’s way when it’s not doing any good.

Jesse Jackson is an idiot.

Here’s something disturbing. Why am I not suprised about the little bit of Joementum this movement has injected into it? (apparently I can’t resist taking a shot at Lieberman).

This is an interesting article about the Kerry McCain ticket that was speculated in 2004.

Daily Show Clip!

Bill Maher still rocks.

Suprise! Mitt Romney is once again conviently forgetting positions he held until very recently.

Bill O’Reilly? Still a shithead.

Not that it’s news when a famous actor doesn’t like Bush, but I like Matt Damon so deal with it.

That’s all for now
