I think there’s some sort of holiday happening today, correct me if I’m wrong…

This is why it’s a little tough for me to not be supporting Kucinich in his run for the Democratic nod. If things work out in a manner that a vote for him would not equal throwing my vote away, I’ll have to consider it.

Where was this sort of response in 2004? Kerry did a lot of things wrong in his run for the White House (which is in itself frustrating), but that he didn’t really defend himself against any criticism was staggering. On the one hand, any idiot could see the Swift boating was a calculated political manuever, but on the other hand, he still should have denounced the statements. The people who run Democratic campaigns need to be taken out of the process, so that we can actually see what the candidates really think (plus the guy who ran Kerry’s campaign is 0 for 8 in presidential runs, so maybe we should just let our guys respond in the way they see fit).

Edwards being one of the nominees is why I’m not all out supporting Kucinich at present time (and not feeling worse about that fact). Here’s an interesting bit of commentary concerning him. I’m sure the 2 people who read this blog are tired of my gushing about Edwards (which is why we only get a link).

Not that anyone needs a reason to hate WalMart, but here you go.

Maureen Dowd gives Hillary a verbal smackdown. I also find it interesting that Bush seems to be on the bandwagon of marginalizing the other candidates (because he like many probably see her as the easiest candidate to run against).

This is curious. It’s a rather casual statement, but at the same time it does indeed acknowledge something many Republicans just turn a blind eye to.

Olbermann clip! Make that two.

Chris Matthews speaks with jackass John Bolton.

Huckabee’s endorsements are beginning to become a list of laughably awful “celebrities”. Wrestler Ric Flair is the latest to join gun nut Ted Nugent and worst actor in the history of acting Chuck Norris.

The Writer’s strike is having more far reaching effects than I would have guessed. Up to a point I was just thinking about the lack of Jon Stewart on television, but there seems to be a sort of domino effect occuring.

That’s all for the moment. Happy eating.
