And the man in the back says everyone attack…
Alison Stewart filled in for Keith Olbermann yesterday, and did so nicely. He has on occasion had guest hosts which weren’t terribly interesting, but if he could stick to Shuster and Stewart, that would seem to work best.
The top 3 democrat’s advisers on hardball here. No real surprises, as it turns out, but still perhaps interesting to watch. They’re all kind of whiny.
Lieberman put his support (if you could call it that) behind McCain. This probably isn’t a bad move on his part, because I can’t imagine he could do anything but harm any of the Democratic candidates had his blessing fallen on any of them.
Here’s some commentary on the only senator who was principled enough to leave the campaign trail so that he could filibuster the vote which would have retroactively given the telecommunications companies immunity for possibly violating the law with their treatment of phone records and whatnot (attached to another bill). Where are Obama, Clinton, and Biden? They all support a filibuster, but if they really gave a shit beyond trying to get people to think they were behind this measure, they should be in Washington.
John Edwards is getting the endorsement of Iowa’s first lady, which could be a boost to his campaign there.
Here’s why I like Letterman more than I like Leno and Conan (aside from the fact that he’s also funnier).
File under not surprising. Though I found it to be an amusing side note that the same douche bag who introduced the bill to rename French fries “freedom fries” is sitting in a prison because he had illegal dealings with voting machine companies. I follow stories like this somewhat closely as I resided in Ohio when it all went down, so I’m always curious to see how things play out.
Here’s more on Dodd.
This makes me laugh.
Here’s a link to Edwards on This Week.
J0hn Bolton is a fucking idiot. Not that you all didn’t know that already.
Olbermann interview, here and here (two parter).
To end, here’s a commentary from the huffington post.
That’s all for now.
