Isn’t spin fun?
Hillary is not going to end up with the popular vote. The guy spinning her victory in Pa (which is looking like it’s going to be 5-8%, down from the initial 20% advantage that Clinton had a month ago or so) and saying we will count Florida, but the same man is for disregarding the Caucuses. Obama’s popular vote lead is being shortchanged by almost half due to the caucus thing. It’s painfully absurd that this smallish victory is being spun as a game changer. I don’t see Florida being counted, and people were saying an ass kicking was necessary. Scarborough is saying something stupid. He’s often one of the less foaming at the mouth repubs, but lately he’s been pretty off. The Clinton spinster was talking about the mudslinging Obama was doing, while ignoring the overall body of work that is the Clinton slime machine (which has been at times Rovian). That’s probably enough on this for now.
Both Harold Ford Jr. and Scarborough think the drag out fight is good for the Democrats. Chuck Todd has said that Obama has a lock on the pledged delegates, so let’s see how much he hear about the popular vote in the next few days.
It’s Earth Day. Let’s hear from Bernie Sanders.
A commentary on Ben Stein’s latest idiotic venture. If you happen to stumble upon this blog and you think Evolution is a complete crock and intelligent design should be taught in schools (when there is no measurable way of even trying to verify that), go fuck yourself. I mean, watch this movie.
Michael Moore finally endorses (though he did hint towards an Edwards endorsement back in the day). He’s been somewhat quiet lately, or at least under my radar (and I think I tend to follow these sorts of things fairly well).
Arriana Huffington op ed.
Obama on the Daily Show.
This is a good example of why Dan Abrams has become part of my daily news intake.
Speaking of spin, let’s watch Hillary’s Olbermann interview.
I’d like to know why Dan Abrams never seems to be a part of election coverage. Though I’m always happy to see Rachel Maddow, even when she’s compared with that twit Buchanan.
Tony Snow is looking terrible, though I actually was pointing out that CNN has hired him. I suppose it might be to give Lou Dobbs someone to fraternize with (though in all fairness, Snow isn’t quite that insane).
I like that 2/3 of voters say that Clinton has unfairly attacked Obama, but apparently some of them didn’t actually care about that.
Chris Matthews surprisingly on point here.
Here’s a link to a friend’s blog (not that anyone reads this one, but if they do, she has more of a local politics slant, while I’m definitely more of a national politics guy. I am going to try to pay more attention to my local political situation though).
With 51% in, Hillary is up by 8%, though much of the Philadelphia area remain uncounted. I’m a bit surprised that Hillary is doing as well as she is in Pittsburgh though. Perhaps the Rendell and Murtha endorsements did make a difference.
A brief bit of nerd news, D&D 4e drops this June. Anyone who’s really interested likely already knows, but it’s looking like a pretty good system (making things more interesting for people when they run out of spells, giving fighters more options…).
Anyway, I’m out.
