Now that it is all over…

Obama won – this is good, and the GOP lost. Also good. I would also argue for them it is an opportunity to do some learning about what hurt them over the past 8 years, (They probably won’t but a few suggestions.)

1) Blind obidence suits monachy well but democracy poorly. Always trying to be in lockstep and not break message can look good but if you carry it far enough no one will believe you when you say you are not a yesman when you keep saying yes.

2) Do not defend the indefencible – with this I am especially refering to the attourney firings under AG Gonzalez. You don’t ask prosecutors to use thier job as a political weapon, and fire them when they do not. That isn’t America – Hell that is more a tactic of Soviet Russia or Maoist China – Clearly Rove did want a perminent majority. AKA one party state, that isn’t America, democracy or anthing that any person who claims to love this country should ever defend, regarless of politics or party.

Gramm – Why are the Dems not jumping on this?
As his chief economic advisor McCain has Phil Gramm the former senator who worked to block tracking and freezing Al Qaida’s funds after the first world trade center attack. He called the measure “totalitarian”. This is GOLDEN – The party of NATIONAL SECURITY -say they will do anything to keep us safe apparently anything EXCEPT interfere with thier bosses profits. This should brought up every time possible. (This is also the guy who lobbied for the deregulation that is causing the current foreclosure mess.)

On the subject of intelligent design… One thing that I am fairly sure that no one in the Hyper Christian Right has bothered to ask themselves is if all life was created from nothingness by an intellignet designer, what does predation say about said designer? The idea that creatures were designed to cause pain and agony to other organisms when there were other options availible (like photosynthesis for everyone) does suggest that the designer that came up with that system is not a loving benevolent being. Granted listening to John Hagie comments on Isreal, Hitler, and the Holocaust the idea that they worship a vicious, demented, sadist who is cumming in his pants at humman suffering is concievable.

Not on topic of this rant but …

Joel Lieberman is still counted as a Democrat why?!?

This is something that I have been wondering for a while, is it just that the Republicans would never run a Jewish canadate for anything or that the Democrats are being too timid to call a Spade a spade on this one. Can a we get a REAL Democrat to run against him, or a stronger Green party in his area? Something?

Hey! Nice blog!! I completely agree about Guiliani. Frankly, I appreciate the fact that he is the most “liberal” of the R’s, but he freaks me out. Ask any New Yorker and they will tell you he did virtually nothing for the city, and then by chance he gets crowned “America’s Mayor” for all his magnificent work post 9/11 (or whatever they want you to believe). He’s a power-hungry nut job.

I could also rant about Hillary, but perhaps I will save that for a later rant. -President
